Massage thoroughly through wet hair on lengths and ends, rinse and follow with Banana Butter Nourishing Scalp and vitamin oil. If your hair has extra build-up, rinse and repeat as necessary. For dry or frizzy hair, Co-Wash can be used once a week in between your normal cleansing and conditioning regime. For coily & textured hair use 2-3 times a week or as often as you need in place of cleansing and conditioning regime, for a gentle cleanse.

11 best curly hair products to hydrate, moisturize and define locks
When it comes to co-washing, we understand that there are two camps – some are for and some are against. But from our testing we have discovered how to make the most out of it. While co-washing should only be used in between your usual cleansing and conditioning routine, we found that still introducing an initial shampoo treatment – to strip the dirt and build up from our hair first – before going in with this nourishing superfood co wash did wonders for our hair. By introducing it as a second cleanse, the nutrients could reach our hair with more impact. Formulated with banana extract (rich in potassium and vitamins A, B & C) our hair was still receiving the nourishment it needed, while the natural oils intensely moisturized and hydrated our hair. We loved this co-wash treatment as a way to cleanse our hair with the nourishing and moisturising properties of a conditioner, all in one.

CURL POWER 11 best Curly Girl Method products
Boasting no sulphates, parabens or silicones - this 97% natural new Banana Butter Nourishing Superfood CoWash from Umberto Giannini is a Curly Girl Method dream. The product smells great thanks to banana extract and coconut oil - but since we have long, thick wavy hair, it felt like we had to use a lot of it. We used this as a co-wash on our scalp as a cleanser and it did feel immediately cleaner - the rest of our hair didn’t feel coated in a heavy conditioner either, which was a plus. To make this product last longer for the price, we’d recommend using once or twice a week as a scalp deep-clean, in between your preferred regime - or as in introduction to your Curly Girl ways if you’re not quite ready to go ‘no-poo’.
