Can’t get to the salon? No problem. We’ve got all you need to color your hair like a pro at home.
Whether you’re a seasoned at-home hair colorer or you’re a strictly six-week salon-goer, this past year has taught us we can’t always rely on having our hairdressers on hand.
If you can’t get to the salon, the thought of dyeing your hair at home can be pretty scary. But you don’t need to put up with greying roots and an accidental dip-dye if you don’t want to. Our Flowerology Naturally Vegan Kinder Color range is super easy to use and promise a salon-worthy coloor from home.
Our Flowerology Colorants are a natural way to color your hair at home, without the harsh chemicals (and the smells that go with!) of many at-home kits. Our permanent hair color has been formulated using only the best vegan ingredients. They’re 95% natural, 75% organic and enriched with vitamins C + E, chamomile flower and orange peel extract so you know your hair will be cared for from start to finish. They also promise to be super kind to your scalp.
Available in 7 natural-looking shades, Flowerology Colorants are easy to use and offer a gorgeously gentle way to permanently colour hair, even those pesky greys with 100% coverage guarantee!
Ready to get started? It’s as simple as 1… 2… 3…
Step 1: The Patch Test Promise
While our Flowerology Colorant formula is 95% natural (and free from ammonia, resorcinol, cocamide DEA, silicones, SLS/SLES, gluten and mineral oils) we do still ask you to perform a patch test prior to use. It’s super simple and we’re sure you’ll be absolutely fine, but it’s a promise we ask you to keep.
Step 2: Mix Your Color Up
Don’t worry! You really don’t need to be a mixologist to prepare your color at home but there are a couple of things you need to do to prep your formula. Carefully pour 1 Colour Gel into the larger 2 Developer, pop the lid on and shake vigorously to mix.
Step 3: The Strand Test
Is it your first time using our color? You might want to perform a strand test to double-check how your shade develops first. We recommend you perform this on an area of hair that’s not very noticeable (like underneath!) just in case you decide not to go ahead with your whole hair… but that’s rarely ever the case.
How to Color Your Hair at Home
Okay so you’ve done your patch test, you’re happy with your strand shade and your formula is all mixed up? Then you’re good to go!
For best results, comb your hair thoroughly and separate your hair into 4 or more sections.
Work from front to back, taking one section at a time and apply the color along your scalp near the roots.
Use your fingers (protected with the gloves provided, obvs) to massage the colour right down the length of your strands and continue all the way around your hair.
Leave your color to develop for 40 minutes. If you’re covering stubborn greys, you might want to leave for an extra 10 minutes!
Rinse hair with warm water and shampoo until the water runs clear. Apply our Color Lock Conditioner to lock-in the color and rinse once more.
Ta-daaaa! Gorgeous, soft, super-shiny strands at home! You’ll never look back…
